Health England Awards

Health England provides practical, evidence-based education to help people achieve and maintain good health.

Our focus is preventive health—supporting physical, hormonal, and mental wellbeing using both science and real-world experience.

We go beyond advice by tackling the real barriers to change.

By understanding why unhealthy habits are hard to break, we teach the mechanics of behaviour change and give people the tools to succeed long term.

Our education pathway includes four levels:

We have 4 levels to our education courses that are as follows:

• Level 1 Health England Community Award

  For children and adults to develop their knowledge of key health principles to help them achieve, maintain and advocate good health for the benefit of themselves and their community

• Level 2 Health England Leader Award

  For teachers, sports coaches, fitness instructors, personal trainers, welfare officers, HR managers and NCT antenatal course leaders to develop a more detailed knowledge of the Health England coaching principles so that the community members that these teachers can influence positively get the best support and inspiration with their health.

• Level 3 Health England Coach Award

  For anyone that wants to work with Health England to have a comprehensive understanding of all Health England coaching principles, how to support people through behaviour change, and how to coach 1-1 and small group physical activity sessions in their community. This award will make individuals eligible for public liability insurance to operate as a personal trainer or gym instructor or to work with Health England as a Health and Fitness coach.

• Level 4 Health England Tutor Award

  For anyone who has achieved and maintained their level 3 Health England Coach Award for more than two years. Those Health England Coaches can go through our Tutor Award that ensures they have secured all of the knowledge available to them from the other Health England Awards, that they have gained relevant and valuable experience from their time as a Health England Coach. To achieve the Health England Tutor Award, coaches must demonstrate their ability to educate and mentor other Health England Leaders and Coaches to support Health England in reaching more people in our country, to achieve a healthier, better future for everyone in England.
